Creative Writing #3

We had to write for 15 minutes straight and produce a sort of "steam-of-consciousness" journal for our blog. Here it is:

Is there some unified goal or purpose that we all aspire to achieve, or do we each quest to reach separate limits? Why do our paths cross in life so that strangers become friends & foes, but friends become enemies? It's strange to think that our air is poisoned, but we're all just dust in the wind. Maybe we're the poison? However, this is irrelevant because it is a psuedoscience. And anything that isn't relevant to elephants is irrelephant. Why then do we care if not more than 1/3 of us will actually see an elephant in the wild? We may never know, like the licker of a tootsie roll pop who often often drops his stick before the night and when the time is right. Price, which one is right and what it tight? If the world was on a stick, it'd take us several thousand nights. We need those knights, in armor reflecting sunlight, to ride back to Camelot and thwart evil terrorists' plots being formulated near and far, America and Kandahar. Allah screams a lesson, but the listeners' ears are not in season. Change for the newborn king of the 10000 golden cows we worship. What then do we know of the golden hills to and fro, between Francisco and Cairo? The deepest and darkest seas beckon us, they call & cull the minds of the race that they once owned. Will you surf the shark? Will you slay the steed? Dying Montague and Capulet did so and lived on top of it. They died beneath it and eat the children of it. Worthless are words with no meaning, then is this not true? Fly through the sky and pose those questions, black holes, LOLs, and garden hose.

We were looking at the photography of Jan Von Holleven. We came across a photo of a boy riding a dog and wearing a turban. He had to write a short story about him and his dog that had only two requirements. The dog must be named Barder and the turban must allow the boy and the dog to fly. With these requirements, I wrote this:

Barder is a special dog. He's got intense love for his buddy Jake. Jake has a magical turban that allows him to fly. I know, you might think that's insane... but it's the true. You don't need anything other than a pair of good eyes to see the flying dog and Jake. They are extremely capable superheroes who are devoted to saving the world.

Dogs are man's best friend. They love us (and women) with all of their hearts. Barder is a superdog, so he has two hearts; twice the love. Jake met him when he was just a puppy, and they've been inseparable ever since. They take baths together, eat the same meals, and they EVEN SIT NEXT TO EACH OTHER IN CLASS. It is this dynamic superduo that protects us from harm. I first saw their heroic actions when they stopped a terrorist attack in downtown San Diego. 43 men in hoods took control of Petco Park during a packed Padres game. They were armed with guns and suicide vests. They were anti-Obama terrorists that were part of a cult. They had found out that Obama had come down to San Diego hoping to see his Cubs defeat the Padres. All he saw were men seeking to kill him. They look the President hostage and trapped everyone inside the Ball Park.

"We'll never let your healthcare reform and socialist agenda go through, NOBAMA!" said a terrorist as his gun was pressed to the President's head. The Secret Service agents had already been killed.

A fierce howl shook the Ball park. Barder had arrived. He flew down with Jake on his back. Jake was an excellent sniper. He had served in Iraq as a Marine Sniper. He fought in Falluja. Some people say that he was born holding a rifle. He took aim and rained down devastation on his terrible foes. They were dispatched. Jake jumped down to make sure that Obama was unhurt while Barder went around the Ball Park disarming the dead terrorists' bombs.

The mission was successful.

We looked at photographs of people coming out from New York subway turnstiles. These people were all doing different things and they all looked really different. They had really expressive facial expressions and many were carrying things. We had to create a story for the person that we chose that either took place before or after they went through that turnstile. I chose to write a story for where this person was headed. They were wearing a Jean Jacket and Jeans and I decided to write mostly about that:

"This guy is headed to a bad fashion convention. They are having a contest for worst fashion mistake. He's going to win because he's wearing a jean jacket & jeans. He is and has been getting laughed at by all people that he has come into contact with. The only people that haven't been laughing are the other people who are going to the convention, some of which are also walking through the turnstiles. His name is Brad Johnson. He attended Stanford University. He loves science and striking a pose. He dropped out of the university because someone made fun of his overalls. He vowed that he would make full jean outfits and overalls "IN" again. His task would not be easy."
